Psssh. This gives Gizmodo more exposure than it could ever want. Small price to pay.

yeah, agreed. dudes bought stolen merchandise and bragged about it. guilty!

ha, serves them right. esp when they gloated about it.

So did Steve Jobs personally sic the cops on them?
Isn't it more like the cops looked at the situation and then decided what to do on their own?

never thought i'd say this, but i'm starting to get pretty tired of apple's pretentiousness. it's a fucking phone for crying out loud...get over yourselves already. it's not like it's some huge secret that a 4g phone is on its way.
anyone else share these sentiments?

At some point I guess bloggers have to rise to the same level of responsibility as mainstream news...

the guy who found the iPhone didn't tried to return it to the owner under reasonable attempts like California law requires, even knowing who the owner was (they went to his Facebook using the iPhone before Apple remotely wiped it). They could have return it to the bar where it was found, since the Apple engineer called many times asking if it was returned.
Then, this guy sold it to Gizmodo for 5 thousand dollars, and Gizmodo basically made fun of the guy who lost it and Apple.
You don't fuck with Jobs.

was it really stolen? or will it be considered misplaced?
the dude who found it tried to contact apple but, they disregarded it thinking the person found a knock off.
should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Does this mean that the iPhone 4G will have flash?

Gizmodo, or more directly Gawker, knowingly bought a stolen object from someone else. I don't think this is just Steve, or Apple. This is the DA. The dude who sold it will probably be arrested also.

I guess this means it was real?
