it's pretty clear that this was taken from the PV by the fact it quotes one of the users in that thread...
- I know, but it steals the thunder of the guy who created it, shared it here, and started a discussion on it.monospaced

although their work seems nice, i find the presentation just as annoying as the cluttered new studio output http://www.studio-output.com/cat…

Absolute shit on every level. Who the fuck picks this crap? Oh yea, some lefty just-outa design school gay-boy-loving CUNT at QBN, that's who. Fuck you.

nice attention to detail, ie, a right click menu

This is ugly, confusing on purpose, difficult to navigate, and it's done entirely in Flash [bad, bad]. To @bigtrickagain, I have nothing against accordion-folding but it has totally been done before.
Why is this an Editor's Choice? Is it because this studio has made money working for larger name clients? This agency should totally go back and re-read "The New Typography" among other things. The so-called design of the site is really just illustration that resolves nothing, confuses everything. Compare to RGA's clean redesign here: http://rga.com
- once you figure it out (read!!!) the navigation is brilliant and easy. It's in the EC because it's awesome, asshole.monospaced
- Bloody hell I like RGA thinking, very nice.pillhead
- RGA, while clean and simple, fails to differentiate. Helvetica, indeed.luckyorphan
- It differentiates by solving the design problem more elegantly.stewdio
- What stewdio says.ximeraLabs
- I was about to bag on RGA's site, but I just checked it out and i like it a lot.instrmntl
- RGA? Boring! I fell asleep navigating that one... Absolutely void of any personality.chuckers

I'm definitely a cunt, but how dare you say 'I'm just-outa design school' — LOL

MyMommies = suppressed homosexuality surfacing in anger about not being able to use a flash site

I like it, it's well built but there's definitely something about that doesn't sit quite right. I think it's probably just the in your face, information overload of the initial "page".

timelining something that actually quotes the inital thread makes you look like a fool
- posting this 20 comments later makes you look like an even bigger fool, especially because I wasn't timeliningmonospaced
- FIGHT FIGHT FIGHTbigtrickagain
- I don't wanna fight, I'm just sick of being insulted for no good reason.monospaced
- ya there seems to be a lot of that going around against you monospaced. maybe it's the way you smell.bigtrickagain

nice site but i reckon it'd have been more impressive it was done in html/javascript so that it was accessible on the likes of the iphone and had all the functionality.
definitely feels like it should be on a touchscreen device

Hey man, I wasn't timelining! If I was, I would have written, "timeline."
I was posting the original thread because it came from a QBN user who actually works at Grip Limited, he was sharing the site update, and there was a good discussion already started there. Back off.
- I fucking hate that timeline bullshit. I like this topic though: http://www.qbn.com/t…ayport
- Thank goodness I wasn't timelining an editor.monospaced

it is very full on, but that's why i like it. i wouldn't want every site to be like this, but this works for me.
- bigtrickagain0
@stewdio: it's definitely confusing on purpose, but i wouldn't say that it's ugly or difficult to navigate - it's deliberately "different" to navigate but once the fundamentals are understood it's very easy to use.
rga's site is nice, but nice in a more traditional way. i give heavy props to grip for doing something completely contrary and having the skill to pull it off very slickly. they're going to get a lot of attention for this site, and they'll deserve it (:

You could do a lot of it in jQuery
