  "A sketch which artist Damien Hirst gave to a taxi driver as a tip for a £20 journey could be worth thousands, experts believe.

  Hirst drew the picture for cabbie Jon Horsley during a 30-minute trip from Chelsea Harbour to Mayfair 18 months ago. The pair chatted and discovered that they shared an interest in comic illustrations and Hirst began doodling the shark and diamond skull - two of his most famous works.

  The drawing is now set to be sold at auction where it is estimated to reach £5000."

  i've heard stories about Picasso doing this sort of thing as well. it makes a bit more sense though for him seeing as he was known for his line making abilities. Hirst's sketch on the other is a complete piss... and of his most famous works none-the-less. I'm a fan of his work, but i hope this came from some imposter pulling a fast one on a cabbie for his sake.

  • I also herd this. Picasso use to take all his friends out to dinner knowing that if he paid by cheque it would never be cashed due to it having his signature on it. Not sure if its true though– souljar001
