stupid question here: I've not used a mac for a few years. but if you move an app to a second monitor, wouldn't the file menu stay on the primary?
- yesmonospaced
- There isn't really a primary, just the designated position for the menubarribit
- or more like wherever you put menubar becomes the primaryribit

just move your second monitor to the left in the display preferences

But why do you want to move the menu bar only for Photoshop?
- to have the menu available on the monitor that is displaying his work...I have the same problemmonospaced
- But why not always have it on that display (the large one?)ribit

I wish that the Finder/App menu could be extended across, or duplicated on, multiple displays also. I often work with one app in each display so I feel your pain. I have since become a friend of Command-` to just switch apps on my main display.

he's trying to solve ""i'm working on the right monitor but i have to mouse back across to the left monitor to access the menu bar"

so why not just move the menubar to the right monitor and leave it there? Can't solve this without understanding the rest of the workflow.

Have you tried an Automator script?
