QBN errors :'(

I'm noticing some weirdness with this Public Voice section of QBN. When I click on some the thread titles to view the thread, the indicated number of responses drops down several ticks. It's almost like clicking on the thread rolls it back several hours in time. (QBN has invented time travel!)
Then, if I wait a few moments the numbers correct themselves but the thread I'm viewing still doesn't have the recent responses... Arggg.. Any ideas? I've tried with Safari, and FireFox on OS X. Was about to try with Chrome and Opera to confirm but then QBN suddenly started working again. Not sure what causes it or what fixes it.
Did someone divide by zero?

square root of negative one somewhere

you're doing it wrong

F. I know there are responses to this thread (I can see the number "2" in the PV column), but now this thread is also being plagued by the error. So when I click on the thread it loads with zero responses; as if they were never added and the number "2" disappears.
If I wait a minute the number "2" reappears, but that's no use because it's not as if the responses themselves actually appear.

your internet is broken

Hmmm.... if I click on the link to this thread it loads with no responses:
http://www.qbn.com/topics/625402…But if I use a link with the page number and #last_reply hash then it loads correctly:

sounds like it's on your end, because it works fine for me

Yea... I suppose it could be on my end. No idea what would be causing it though. At least as a temporary fix I can put ?page=X#last_reply at the end of the URL and force it to load. Annoying, but solves the problem until I can figure out what the problem actually is . . .

all good here. what browser / OS you on?

------ OS X 10.6.2
Safari 4.0.5
FireFox 3.6
Chrome 5.0.307.11 beta
Opera 10.50 BetaThe error occurs in all of them. Not at first, but a few clicks around QBN and suddenly this thread starts doing weird stuff, and a few others too. I wonder if it's some bizarre ISP issue. I'm on a crazy pay-per-month service provider here in a nurse's dorm on the outskirts of Karlsruhe in southern Germany. (GMT +1) Perhaps when I try to refresh the page the ISP serves up a cached version somehow? I'm not sure that makes sense, but it's a first attempt at diagnosis.

Totally unrelated... I was trying to find an appropriate picture to post for Gramme in the "It's a boy..." thread. I came across this incredibly disturbing image. You can see it in its supposedly non-offensive context here : http://www.123greetings.com/fami…

Not sure if it's the same on OSX, but in Windows for at least IE, FF and Chrome pressing CTRL+F5 fixes this. Happens to me all the time, just need to force a refresh.

Take out the cartridge and blow into it.

The answer lies at the nexus of the universe. You can find it at the intersection of First and First Ave., right across from the falafel stand.
