I'd rather get the HTC Desire, faster processor like the Nexus One.
- true, but this is cheaper and smaller .. plus, I reckon it might look nicer********

it really all depends on what provider I can get them with.

You can get it sim-free via Amazon in the UK

I heard Apple makes a phone now.
- please, tell me more :)********
- i think HTC have heard or that as they getting sued by apple for stealing their tech.akrokdesign
- Apple probably patented the phone call .. or maybe dialling a number using 'on screen buttons'********
- please, tell me more :)

I can get it for less than half the sim-free price through a provider though, plus I'm thinking I'm going to move to Verizon, which is CDMA and doesn't use sims. meh, not sure, all US providers suck balls.

I know the sensible choice might be to get an iphone - but the fact they lock everything down so much, is shit.
I'd rather have a phone which isn't restricted - but I'm not sure if Android 2.0 is good enough?

I used an HTC incredible last night and it was pretty nice. I might wait and few weeks until its released and check it out.

^ answering the note above
It seemed pretty responsive and it looked to have a good bit of applications to choose from. Overall I was impressed. The only thing that took me awhile to get used to was that there were so many home screens. You'd pull up a main screen that scrolled vertically, then to multiple screens (like the cards on the pre) and when you selected one it would scroll side to side. That was about the only thing that seemed unfamiliar to me; but that may be because I was trying to use it like an iphone.
- thx - I'm starting to think this is the kind of phone I'm going to go for.********

CENTS THIS IS A DESIGN FOREM; I WILL TALK ABOUT THE DESIGN OF IT. IT SUCKS. WHY DO ALL PHONES HAVE TO BE RECTANGULAR? AND WHY DUZ THE BOTTOM STICK UP? ITS LIKE THE PHONE IS TRYING TWO HUMP YOU'RE EAR.
- you are my favourite.********
- I agree about the bottom sticking up .. but will reserve judgement until I see it.********
- its ergonomic when using it, but i dont like it myself, feels bad in the pocket.Hombre_Lobo
- good luck with your triangle phone.Gucci
- you are my favourite.

This is basically a geek phone - and that's probably why I like it.
- akrokdesign0
who's the ass who said, that's a go. the buttons don't aline up, with the size of the screen, instead they stick out.
- akrokdesign0
is it a boult in the bottom or a power button looking like a boult???
- wtf is a boult? anyway, it's an optical trackballacescence
- oops. no "u" in bolt.akrokdesign
- airey0
the names of these things are kinda overstating more and more. 'legend' - fuck off.
i'm sure it'll probably be a good phone but wouldn't it be good if they started a more realistic naming convention like 'slightly disappointing thanks to the over-hyped marketing but still quite good (SDTTTO-HMBSQG).

Nope got an iPhone

I'm still waiting for the nexus to come out here though
- jamble0
I got the "Hero" a few months back, I can recommend android, tons of apps you'll never bother using, some useful ones you will and the phone looks nice.
- trooperbill0
meh wait for the supersonic for hd2 like big screen goodness
- Hombre_Lobo0
i really really wish android would make an interface as smooth as the iphone, then i would enjoy flushing my iphone down the loo.
Looks nice, but the nexus one looks nicer!
