steal it for sure. in fact i'll help you. i've used jPlayer and modified it quite a bit. google it. or just view source. it's all there in it's current ugly glory.
as for making the player smaller in length, you mean width or the playlist length? the playlist automatically grows when you get the last one. currently almost 800.

Pretty cool site bro.
It looks like you are using JS to reposition the player but why bother? Couldn't you just give it a position absolute or fixed at the top or bottom of the page?

http://www.thecloudplayer.com/Also, I hate to nitpic (and I can tell this is probably going to be an increasingly futile plea), but there isn't really any HTML 5 in this is there? It's just a Javascript controls wrapper over a Flash audio player. HTML5 would involve using the <AUDIO> tag.

I'd rather have just the playlist scroll instead of the entire window.

had a look - I meant scrolling just the playlist div instead of the whole window. What I find a little off-putting is when the playlist scrolls underneath the player - it just feels weird.
Granted part of that is because of the transparency of the player skin, but still - I'm not a fan of it
