interesting war story i found on quora just now:
"During the Palestinian Campaign of WWI (1917), the British were in their trenches and the Ottomans were in theirs, but there was little movement. The British learned that the opposing Turks had run out of cigarettes, so the intelligence service of the British Army came up with the idea of throwing cigarettes to the Turks, but they would wrap the packs in paper with slogans encouraging the Ottomans to stop fighting.
"This didn't work; the Turks would throw the slogans away and enjoy the cigarettes. Shortly before a raid was scheduled, the British changed tactics a bit. The cigarettes they threw over the top still had slogans on them, but they also had the added benefit of being heavily laced with heroin. By the time the raid started, the British met essentially no opposition."

seems like whenever i go through periods of tripping a lot i tend to do a lot of house cleaning and organizing. it's kind of like cleaning up and sorting parts of your mind.
feels good, man.
- I also often compulsively "clean", and not just from stimulants. I bunny ears "clean" because...orrinward2
- ... with the exception of doing the dishes cleaning/organising always ends up turning into a weird art installation.orrinward2
- Books arranged in alternate colours, a totem of junk in the middle of the floor stakced really high etc.orrinward2

@scarabin i don't know if i learned anything from it, but i did gain alot more respect for it. you know it's like a dream but i will try to remember it, here is my recollection:
i was staring at a campfire when i did it, which intensified the entire thing.. i remember immediately feeling like i had entered a level of the universe far past any previous dmt trip, and heard several voices call out in space "looks like we got another one" and immediately assumed those were the spirits of other people somewhere on this planet that were also on dmt. crazy right? anyway it was very intense, i felt like i was moving at lightspeed through the universe at points, and at other points was kinda terrified as i saw the flames from the campfire poking out of the intense visuals.. the visuals this time were spitting image of chinese dragons like below.. that is mostly what i recall, and that it lasted like 10 minutes but felt like an hour

i had done it in the past, and it is such a beautiful experience, but this past weekend took like a 'mega-hit' and was sent so far into another dimension it was hard to hold on, it was so intense that it was almost too much for me (well i guess not but..). it was the absolute highest i have ever been in my life, afterwards while laughing i thought of the outro from an unkle album (below)
"Uh, I feel that this has given me the most incredible and wonderful thing that I have ever been given, and also, the worst. It's a mixed bag. Uh, I have been taken to the, absolutely, to the depths of extreme terror by this. I've had my whole soul undermined by it, on the one hand. On the other hand, uh, in one sense, my experience has been about finding joy"
