Scaling in Indesign

I'm trying to scale down all the content on a layout I've put together.
Layout contains a combination of images and text boxes.
Grouped everything and tried to use either scale, free transform or selection tool to grab and scale everything proportionally.
Everything scales well except for the copy content. It stays the same point size within the text boxes.
I also have "Apply to Content" selected in the preference.
I really don't' want to rework all the typography. What am I doing wrong?

there's a number field up at the top on the toolbar thing. select your items, then click in either x or y and tap the down arrow key
might work

sorry, i was writing that from memory, i just opened it up and it's not x and y, there are two boxes with arrows in them, and the fields will say "100%". change those values

It works up until a certain point. But then the copy stays the same size and stops scaling
- try it ungroupedscarabin
- maybe the type gets too small to scale at that pointtransmission

oh yah. try this.
(i'm assuming your on a mac)group objects, hold down apple, option, shift and then scale objects by dragging corner.
or double click on scaling tool and use percentages.

hmm bizarre. I've tried that stuff too. They copy shrinks along with everything for a bit (say down to about 50%) but after that it stops shrinking with everything else.
(yeah I'm on a mac.)

convert text to outlines and see if it scales.

Yes, when I convert to outlines it scales without issue.
Just seems to affect live copy
