new draft file is gone . . . poof . . . bye-bye . . . only posting cause i . . . i, don't know why . . . i am freaking seething right now . . . at least this go-around i'll get it done in less than 12hrs

I feel for you, really. But, how did this happen? Files don't normally disappear, and InDesign has a save state built-in. Good luck.
- not sure - too many people have access to our job folders. Account side is a temp, client is an old supervisor - that still has access to our servers so he might have been trying to get a sneak peek on the next draft? we don't really know what happened -jmilligan

If it's a case of the file disappearing - Get a dropbox maybe? and use it as your working folder. It will automatically create online backups while you save, and even saves previous versions so you can go back after an accidental save.
