  faster? no. faster is only how hard you pedal. i haven't researched, but i doubt the weight difference of these two bikes is different.

  langster looks good. the mercer is a little classic looking as far as frame geometry and tube size. are they both steel?

  if it was me, i'd take the langster.

    Faster is not how hard you pedal. Geometry, and gear ratio play a large role. Mercier has aggresive geometry = Faster if equal weight.– jacklalane3/7
