nice. But a little too pale and stale for my taste.
- Stale = understood. But pale? Not enough color? Too light?

Not enough color. Needs one more complimentary color maybe.

Perhaps the patterns at the top and surrounding the logo should become solid colour?
The bg colour could then become a pattern as the text is lost on the angled pattern.
I think orange is a solid highlight colour but perhaps large areas of the brown or one of the grays are appropriate.

it appears dull.
The text on the header bar is near impossible read dude to the scan lines in the background of the header.
Personally im not a fan of that body font (main font for general text on the page) in that context, however the typeface used in the logo looks quite nice and modern, maybe choosing a similar typeface that which would compliment it would be beneficial.
Also the logo has an orange colour in the flame which youve clearly identified and carried through to the design of the site using it as a highlight colour, maybe consider using it more to brighten it up.
I'd change the background colour of the site. Playing it safe - black or white would be better than grey in my opinion.
- needs more master errrrrrr....sorry nothing to add.rodzilla

The only really issue I have is with the text in the header and that has been mentioned

Could use a third "highlight" color, as someone else mentioned. The visual hierarchy gets lost easily in two-color designs.

There's a zillion ways that site could be better, but I can't be bothered to do that much typing.

The 'search' bar seems to much of a feature
- I disagree...I feel that it fades into the header. It could, in fact, be incorporated into the filtering he has going on below.monospaced

Is the logo too far left? Looks like it needs to be centered over the movie boxes

Left align nav menu and search bar with column below

I like the site idea...

Your site could benefit from a single, large element. QBN does this quite effectively with the top Editor's Choice; imagine your site featuring a record for the day or something.
Size dictates visual hierarchy and right now, based on what I've seen and the comments above, URDB could really use some. That's my two cents.
- Otherwise, I think the design is clean and the navigation makes sense.monospaced

^ I agree maybe take the space from the first two listed records put larger video and make it record of the day.....
