2. Although all of them have super-skinny weird looking arms.

the heart is smashing the people on the bottom....is that a metaphor?

Primary colors seem so much more 3rd world for some reason

NUMBER TWO

i like the style and the colors of the first one. but the way the heart is integrated into the people is not thought out or clever. usually when using negative space like that, you're looking for some hidden image, but it just isn't there.
step back and look at it from far away... and it sort of looks like a multi-colored insect or spider.

- sorry, meant style + colors of the second one.iCanHasQBN

i feel like this is very elitist
- may not be the right word, but this feels very wrong.wordssssss
- how do you mean?instil_design
- that they are begging for our help and only we can save them. which is somewhat true...iCanHasQBN
- ...but maybe it could come off as condescending.iCanHasQBN
- yeah, its almost people reaching out from there heart to our hearts thats the idea :)instil_design
- the hands out, looking up.. implying they're on their knees begging.iCanHasQBN
- true but if it gets the message across and sells and makes some money for aid im happy :)instil_design
- wordssssss0
yes, that they have emaciated arms, and are begging for handouts.
- that's the feeling i got from it. i think the word you were looking for is dignity.monoblanco

yeah wordssssss i can see where your coming from, thanks for the feedback :) someone i know said the same thing but its too late to adjust now really. :)

3 is my favorite. 1 & 2 are ugly imo, but 3 is really great. I can see the shape of a tree rooting out of the heart.
So I guess its decided, go with 3 then.

can we send them barbells instead of food?

it's just the idea of a black man on his knees, begging the implied white man... it sort of conjures up notions of slavery. i mean, it's not terribly bad from my point of view, but i can see how that imagery might turn some people off.
- maybe changing the brown to another color would make it less racistscarabin
- that's why they are red, yellow and blue, not all Haitians are Black you know...SoulFly
- That's right. Caring for people of a certain race is racist. And there are no same race people that would see the poster and help anyways.Peter
- its not just about the race... its the combination of that and what he's doing.iCanHasQBN

I dont think the color is the issue. In addition to the begging, the subtitle says "give from your heart". but what i see is the Haitians begging -and from THEIR heart. the heart is coming from WITHIN them... see that? It just doesn't make any sense, executionally. Falls kinda flat. I'm not sure how to connect the wording to the graphic. It's like you just outlined some Haitians and put a heart on them, and now you want to forcefully draw out some emotional response from people - which i dont think will happen. it's nice that you're doing it, but there's nothing interesting or smart about it.
If this is just a quick thing to raise some $$ for haiti, thats cool. im just over-analyzing it.

22 two's - although the poster looks demeaning to me. Like your saying - lets help these poor folks. Make the guys arms bigger - looks gaunt
