I'm putting together a group of logos for competitive review in a new branding project.
The client is not a private school but it is a separate school for grades KG to Grade 8.
Any recommendations for school logos to review?

In your opinions is it necessary to have a crest associated with the school? I am trying to push my client away from creating a crest approach.
- If the school doesn't already have a crest then probably best to not have one. Fake ones dont tend to be so authentic.NickInfozure

the crest makes it feel official like a referee with a whistle

Once of the reasons that I've been steering the client away from creating a crest is that, aside from just feeling out of date, crests are not easily transferable and, in my opinion, fail terribly as a mark.
I've been trying to recommend simplicity and minimalism (which is a tall order when the brief calls for 6 distinct elements to be clearly recognizable).
