Since 2005, computer scientists have attempted to develop automated methods to infer aesthetic quality of images. Large number of manually-rated online photographs were used to "teach" computers about what visual properties are of relevance to aesthetic quality. The Acquine Engine developed at Penn State University rates natural photographs uploaded by users.
So give it a try. Upload one of your photographs and have the computer at Penn State University rate its aesthetic appeal.

I don't know about this. Aesthetics are pretty intimately tied to culture --not sure an algorithm could wade through that amount of minutiae.
