"We set out to broaden our ambitions; to create a design philosophy and world-class design standards that all designers across the business could adhere to. We wanted to find the soul of the BBC. We wanted something distinctive and recognisable; we wanted drama. We knew whatever we created needed to be truly cross-platform and that we needed to simplify our user journeys."

I'm pleased to discover they're using an 8 pixel baseline grid - i started doing this early last year and its reassuring that someone else out there has reached the same conclusion :)

    • is this web 3.0?

It's all well and good but I wish to god they would sort out the cookie on the site that just ignores the fact I don't live in London.

good on him - met him once - 96 maybe - and after finally getting to chat to "old Nev" . after a couple of beers - he knows whats what - yes he's been resting on his ideologies for years... doing what he does - tho - i hope this works for him again - and he becomes an evangelist yet again.

I've just started a job working at the BBC this week, and im using this new BBC Global Visual Language. So far so good, i will see how it integrates into the IPTV creative im working on, hopefully they have considered the practical design issues between web and interactive tv.

He's a cock. Be good at something, sure – but don't assume that automatically gives you the right to be a cunt.
