I'm going to Portland for the first time on the 25th - 28th. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good little hotels? I booked our first night at the Kennedy School, looks fun! But they were all booked up over the weekend. So I still need to lock down a place for Fri and Sat night. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Jupiter- was a cheap crack whore hotel now a cheap hiptard hotel + it's connected to the Doug Fir Lounge - it's connected to the Doug Fir lounge
Ace- have only been to the Seattle version but it's cheap and hip plus walking to the Pearl
Deluxe- rad 60's lounge called The Driftwood hasn't changed but it's not very close to anything else.
Lucia- spent my honeymoon there, get the Presidential suite if you can afford it, you wont be disappointed.

Depends on the price range. I like Hotel Lucia (http://www.hotellucia.com/) but it can be a bit spendy.
Never stayed at Kennedy School, but eat/drink there all the time.
There's quite a few boutique hotels downtown that are good. I just can't remeber the names right now.

haha k.. well I'm just about to book two nights at the lucia, (Premium King, I don't see the President Suite boooo) but then it hit me I should step back a second. I wasn't planning on renting a vehicle, should I? Is this hotel central enough to places of interest?
