  How can you make a gradient follow a thick border on a circle, illustrator or photoshop.

  ie not a radial gradient but one that actually follows the line, like a linear gradient but curved i guess..

  have i gone mental ?

  I'd just make the path a shape use a gradient mesh. That might be slightly long winded but will work just fine.

  corel draw can do this easily. I'm always amazed by the teams behind Adobe, do they have designers there to give input to what features should be in it?
