    i haven't thought about this in a while, but can't that be set when creating the pdf?

    That's the thing, I DID set it in Acrobat and locally it opens as specified. Then when you view online, it puts it back to letter.

    I guess you could "Print to PDF" with the orientation changed. I'm also confused how a landscape document could POSSIBLY display as portrait.

    I did that as well. And it simply rotates the PDF back to landscape. So yes, the content is sideways. That's the bloody problem!! :)

    It is not possible to control the rotation on initial view. But, if the PDF is created in landscape, it will be viewed in landscape by default.
