I don't think I understand the whole "this is our office dog and this is his bio," that a whole lot of studios seem to adding to their "team bios" pages these days.

These days? It's ten years old.
You used to see shit like the goldfish, Sparkles, having a bio page where they put its title down as "Studio Ninja" with a full writeup.
Look how "creative" we are!

Well maybe it's nothing new, maybe there is just a proliferation of boutique/niche studios doing this now whose sites I see all the time. I swear that 8 of the last 10 studio sites I've looked at today and yesterday featured some random retarded photo of a cat or dog?

I visit with a lot of companies. Whenever I walk into a place of business and there's a dog on the premises, the people are always excellent.
As far as I'm concerned it's a sign of good character.

Keeps things less up-tight, anti-corporate, and helps keep a more relaxed atmosphere. If shit goes bad with the client you can tell the "office pet" to go eat shit and he'll literally eat shit.

I think pets in the office can be a huge bene. Its a stress release. Entertaining. Always a good excuse to walk to Starbucks.
Unless of course you hate pets in which case it could be the bane of your existence.
