Photoshop script to export top level layer groups?

I've been reading http://www.ps-scripts.com/ but I have no idea where to start... maybe someone has done this already?
Basically I'm looking for a script that will iterate through every (top-level) layer group in my PSD file and generate a JPG for it, taking the layer name as the file name...
PS. I know you can do this with layer comps but they bug the hell out of me, whenever you add new layers everything gets messed up, well in CS3 anyway.
