Anyone playing DayZ? Holy shit it's good, and I don't even like Zombie Games, but this a hardcore multiplayer zombie survival game ( Mod for ArmA II) , you have to eat, drink water, find weapons and take morphine if you break any limbs. What's more intense is you can find other players and if you both decide you can work together or kill them and loot their gear. The game saves constantly, there are no save games, no restores nothing. If you die you start again.

OnLive.com to provide launch support to OUTA console:
"When OnLive first heard about OUYA, we were excited to see console gaming becoming more available and open. Like OUYA, we came to gaming with a new vision for making top-quality gaming accessible to more people, and we continue to look for ways to expand on that vision.
OUYA is rethinking the console business, making waves by using standard technology to make gaming for your living room accessible, affordable and more innovative than ever. In OnLive's case, we pioneered a groundbreaking, cloud-based system that instantly delivers games to any device on demand.
We are pleased to announce that OnLive will be available on OUYA at launch, extending and building on our commitment to make the best games available to everyone, everywhere."@ Naygon sort of called it a few pages back.

I will point out, that a similar backlash happened when WIN 95 came out and MS pushed to abolish DOS gaming. It was the end of the video gaming world then, too.

(BTW younglings... MW2 was Mech Warrior 2 before it was Modern Warfare 2)

I quit playing video games a few months ago and I have to say my life is so much better. I wasn't even playing all that often. Maybe averaging a 2 to 3 hours per week.
I've heard people say that any time spent on leisure isn't time wasted. These people are wrong. Video games are such a waste of your life. Don't believe me? Try quitting for a few months.

I'm not trying to belittle anyone's choice of leisure activities. If you like it, play it. I get it. I'm just suggesting that if you TRY quitting for a while, you might find that you actually didn't like it as much as you thought you did. I like video games, but I just don't have enough spare time to do everything I'd like to do. I quit video games just because I felt that they were the default activity when I had spare time, and I wanted to try some other stuff.
I realized that one day I'll be an old man reflecting on my life. When that time comes, there is NO chance at all that I'll be thinking, "I really wish I spent more time levelling up on MW3."

When I game it is usually 4-5 deep and we are trying to beat each other in FiFA , Madden , etc , if it is a shooter then I am online with a bunch of other people as well .
I don't have cable so My TV basically is there for gaming no other reason to turn it on. Don't even have a digital antenna for local channels .
Not to mention I have a 12 year old son, who is always trying to beat me in everything or likes for me to help him get through some levels . So if you are gaming alone then I can see how it gets old. But I'll prob be 50 and still kick ass in Madden

I probably sound like a noob to most real gamers these days but recently I became re-interested in video games for creative and professional reasons. Now I am back into it in a casual way and the there isn't a better time to be in the industry so I am feeling it out. I am more into the culture and technology around gaming than the actual gaming anyway.
But yeah summer time is not the time for gaming.
