i don't think so, but just copy paste it?

I think there is an InDesign preference file, ie. an InDesign file which is used as a master template from which all aspects of the File > New file is based — page size, swatches, margins, etc. I know this is the case for Illustrator and I'm not at my machine to confirm, but have a dig around in there and see how it goes.

To clarify, find that file, open it, add your 4 page spread, save it, quit and relaunch indesign and make a new file.

Actually what I need to do is to paste a large amount of text on a weekly based layout that requires a 4 pages spread.
I wanted to avoid the copy and paste several times... this is how I solved it.... maybe there is a better way but this works for now

I used Autoflow
by Shift-clicking to sync the text to the master page. more info is in here:

Couldn't you just open the previous file, remove the old content, put the new content in, and then save as new? Or even just have a blank 4-page template file? What's so hard about this?
- the idea is to keep the 4pages spread to apply a master pageSalarrue

can you explain to me how to create a 4 page spread template and copy a large amount of text to it?

Make it a 2 page spread and treat it like 4. This isn't rocket science.
- Salarrue0
the idea is to keep a 4 pages spread master page.
By default it allows only a two pages spread when you use autoflow...

Use two pages and pretend they are 4. Make each page double wide and set up columns. Use your brain man.
There are several solutions to your issue and none of them require creating a 4 page spread, because those don't exist.
- Indesign allows you to create until 10 pages spreadSalarrue

yeah right using your brain... let see what the printer says when you send a 4 pages inside 2 pages double wide...
Of course there are several ways to solve it... the idea is to save time to paste the content inside a 4 pages master page and avoid the copy and paste several times...
anyways... it works for me

Even though I've been designing print pieces with plenty of specialty processes (tip-ins, die cuts, fold-outs, you name it) for several years, I cannot understand what you mean by a 4-page spread.
And, if it works for you, then what is the problem exactly?

- Yeah, I saw that in your original post. But what do you do with a 4-page spread? Where's the spine?monospaced
- there is an option to autofill when you paste large amount of text inside a textbox...
Salarrue - it creates new pages until the end of the textSalarrue
- I have a design that requires a 4 page spread, and when indesign make the autofill it creates only 2 page spreads...
Salarrue - so I wanted to change that default... I just want to paste the text once and then page by page applying the style... Is never endingSalarrue
