  i just rented the 2.8L 70-200 lens for my trip to japan.....the lens is unreal....a little heavy, but crisp and fast. you can trim some weight and get the f4 if you have the 5dm2 because the high iso's are so great. you can also get an extension ring and stretch it to 300 easily.

  • also, i've seen people put a black stocking over the white lens to call less attention to it...you can still rack it and access all the IS switches etc too.– linearch1/3
