I need to develop a running apparel brand visual identity, I'm looking for designers - I'm thinking about www.crowdspring.com and other ideas?

Oh wow... I am going to run for cover.
- akrokdesign0
why? you don't like quality?
- Gucci0
Yeah, i've got one: Hire a designer based on their portfolio and avoid crowdsourcing.
- detritus0
You know what? Fuck it - just recommend the marketing/sales guy here every crowd source site we know of and let him learn the hard way.
- akrokdesign0

Unless you're developing an apparel brand just for fun - I'd imagine that you'll be investing quite a lot of money in your project.
Use of crowdspring (as a cheap marketing stunt) might still have a bit of mileage left in it, but you're not going to be investing in good design.
If you need to ask about this kind of thing; hire someone who isn't stupid, who can make this kind of decision for you.

I have experience in that domain, you can check out my portfolio: http://www.mstrpln.com and get in touch from there if you are interested. If the price is right, i'm your man.

basically, crowdsourcing is great for people who are making themselves a website from a template that might one day take off but probably won't but it's worth a go, and their son doesn't know how to use photoshop.
If you're going to pay money to stich this logo into expensively-made clothing, you want to spend a lot more on it- also, those guys will give you something that's perhaps web friendly but doesn't translate into a stiched version

Hey don't go to Crowdspring Zack, I offer a similar sort of website design service for half the money.
- shitehawke0
basically, crowdsourcing is for cheap cunts looking for lowest common denominator, clip art rubbish that will be fit for the bin in about a month.
Anyway if its something simple and classy you're looking for, why not just get a civil servant with half a brain and a copy of Photomoshoppe to do it for you at a reasonable price?

I basically JUST do identity/brands and I'm always looking for freelance:

Let me get this straight, you came onto a design forum to ask if you should go someplace else to ask for design work? Cheeky. Next time just ask here... there are plenty of very talented designers on QBN.

The funniest thing about this thread isn't actually that Zack10 is asking about crowdsourcing. It's the fact that you guys all act like immature, unprofessional cunts when this guy has demonstrated an eagerness to learn more—why the fuck would anyone want to hire someone who makes fun of them, instead of trying to educate them.
Fock off, the whole lot of you trollish chaps.
- I take back my nerd rage. Zack10 has had an account for 2 years, wise up. SONdMullins

What is up with ya'll selling yourselves like cheap whores?? You guys really think this guy would have any type of budget for this project/brand? Sounds like a marketing 'guru' to me and will eventually go the cheap way because it will make him feel smart for saving money and because he 'will be in charge'.
