  The drummer of the band Avenged Sevenfold passed away on december 28th 2009, he was 28.

  "Sullivan appears to have died of natural causes, Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo told The Orange County Register. Police were notified by firefighters who had responded to Sullivan's home about 1 p.m., according to the report."

  i'm bumping this thread because their new album, Nightmare, is coming out today, July 27th and after having listened to the album, I can tell that they really made it for The Rev

  

  you can listen to the song Fiction, which is The Rev's song (he sings in it) and it's probably the greatest song.

  also, this is what he died of :
  "The cause of Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan's death was revealed on June 9, 2010. Orange County Deputy Coroner Mitchell Sigal determined from toxicology tests that The Rev died of an accidental overdose of strong prescription painkillers and alcohol. His death was a result of acute polydrug intoxication due to combined effects of oxycodone, oxymorphone, diazepam/nordiazepam, and active intoxicant of alcohol. Sigal also noted that The Rev also had an enlarged heart, which was noted in the coroner's report as a "significant condition" that may have contributed to his death."
