yo my qbn peeps, I have a quick question for you guys (and gals):
I just got an offer for a freelance gig to transfer a quark file (180 pages) to an indesign file. Anybody have a rough estimate of how long this sort of thing will take? I haven't used indesign to transfer quark files in a about 3yrs, so I am a lil rusty at this point and I need to get the estimate for hours in today.

you may have to recreate each page element by element

aaargh! Run! I've done this in the past... Quark = Quirks! unless they were very, very careful and systematic about how they made the Quark files...

use markzware: http://www.markzware.com/q2id/
and bill it to them. it shouldn't take more than 8-10 hours after double checking styles, links, images, etc.- If this works well, I'd love to hear about your experiencevaxorcist

I haven't found a way. Is it a Quark 8 file?
