HI all
I am still finding out some details but I was contacted by another designer off the internet and they wanted to know if they could purchase the rights to one of my artworks to use in part of a logo for another company.I put in some questions about the size of the company, where it is located and whether or not they want exclusive rights ( I am waiting to get a response ). I have used the artwork on t-shirts etc already (but only minimally). If I were to sell the rights, what should I ask for and is there any way for me to keep the credit for the image (i.e. not have the other designer pass off the artwork as their own creation)?
Sorry if these are dumb questions but I am inexperienced with licensing. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

just outline to them you're licensing it for the 1 project, no derivatives, can't be used for other projects, and you retain rights for portfolio. pick a number that makes you happy- that's really all it comes down to.

Anyway, the designer agreed to my terms and is seeing what their client thinks so *hopefully* all shall work out well.
Famous last words :)
