Trying to do a favour for someone, I don't usually work on this sort of stuff.

What resolution would you provide for a pop-up tradeshow booth? 8'x10'

I was thinking 150dpi, but the file is pretty big. any tips? FYI I'm not designing this, just trying to provide materials in the right res, so no printer to call for specs.

Define 'pretty big' in terms of the file.

raster (photos, etc.) 300 dpi, usually.

Create the graphic for the tradeshow booth at 25% of the original size: (2' x 2.5') at 120dpi to 150dpi.

    • that sounds reasonable. cheersmonNom1/2

have you talked to the vendor? depends on what kind of substrates they are printing on. Some absorb ink and get a bit blurry, so nothing greater than 120 is needed. It depends a lot on how they are printing it and on what.

I do handful of these every 6 months for trade shows, always 25% at 400dpi.

Best just to ask the printer though, we use the same production companies all the time...

    • sorry, just spotted "no printer to call" :(rascuache
