So a few days ago I went to open InDesign and it gave me an error saying my fonts in Suitcase can't run without the fusion core thingy running. I never turned it off, so I launched SysPrefs and clicked the pane. It said something about needing to relaunch SysPrefs so I clicked OK and I tried again to press start. It said it couldn't start so I created a new vault, this time it started fine.
That was a pain so I thought I'd give Fontcase a try– downloaded it, moved some fonts over, worked in InDesign a bit and all was dandy.
Just now though I tried to launch Illustrator it gave me the splash window for about 5 seconds then crashed. Whatever, I'll try it again. After trying again about 20 times, repairing and even trashing preferences, and removing the Extensis plug-in from the Application Support/Adobe directory it still doesn't work.
I'm assuming these events are somehow related? I can't remember doing/updating anything differently around the time that Suitcase stopped working, I'm running 10.6.1.
Anyone have a similar problem before? InDesign runs fine and I don't have the time or patience tonight to reinstall.

download this:
http://homepage.mac.com/mdouma46…run it. don't let your font manager manager your system fonts.
I have suitcase it work and it's a piece of shit, but at home I use fontexplorer from linotype. I've never had a problem with fontexplorer.
