All Google design choices are justified using statistics, they test everything and everything even 5 pixel differences in spacing has to be backed up by numbers. The entire process is basically how a scientist would design something.

Never noticed that, I like it.
So if you goto your google homepage and start typing, you only see what you /need/ to see. If you want everything else, move over the page
