Imagine what 5 years more development of Freehand could've done for it.

Freehand.
and lets not forget the simplicity of the Direct select tool for 'illustrating':
This is a super quick way to draw vector graphics for illustration in a loose style. you just think where the corner points will be on your drawing, quickly draw your shape and pull out the curvature with the direct select tool. far quicker than faffing around drawing the curve as you go per illustrators method. This is the top reason why i still use Freehand.
- or you could just learn to draw with beziers in AI, it's just as easy, only different.inkpink

^ also you can be using the 'select' tool to move things around and just press 'alt' to going into direct select mode to pull out the curves. far far far quicker than changing tools as you would do in illustrator.

I just miss paste inside. the fact that we can't align anything that has a bigger object inside it is ridiculous!!! not to mention the fact that the image inside ALWAYS gets in the way if it's really big
- yeah what's up with that shit. illustrator never got this thing rightESKEMA

Where I used to work many moons ago was split down the middle. Some were illustrator fans, some were freehand. I was one of the illustrator fans back then so naturally I've got to say I don't miss freehand... other than I still have align to point envy :(
