^ Yes, I can do that, but often I select multiple paths and offset them and then you have to de-click every path. I missed a vital piece of info out of my description... it also automatically groups the original with the offset path, so its not even possible to deselect all then re-select the new or the original stuff separately.
I can't believe they've actually made this 'improvement' to Illustrator. Its so counter intuitive.
