Illustrator CS3 Q... 55 Responses

In CS2, if you selected an object and then went to Object>Path>Offset Path, it would create the new path (or paths) and they would then be actively selected, whilst the original path/s that you had selected to make the offset would no longer be selected.
I liked that. In CS3 it doesn't seem to do that. When I offset paths, I end up with the new paths AND the original paths selected and I have to meticulously de-select the originals to work with the new ones.
If you've read this far, then my question is: Is there anything I can change in CS3 to go back to the way it was in CS2? I've looked through the prefs and can't find anything.
If you haven't read this far, then may I just say you look fucking ridiculous in that outfit.

^ Yes, I can do that, but often I select multiple paths and offset them and then you have to de-click every path. I missed a vital piece of info out of my description... it also automatically groups the original with the offset path, so its not even possible to deselect all then re-select the new or the original stuff separately.
I can't believe they've actually made this 'improvement' to Illustrator. Its so counter intuitive.
