don't rule out framing just yet ... go to a framing shop and see if they'll lend some frames for the exhibit in return for some free advertising (a small poster, business cards and a mention of thanks). although, the time frasme is a bit tight now, i suppose.

1. measure print
2. paint a rough black rectangle, slightly larger than the print onto a white wall, allowing the black paint to bleed down the wall.
3. mount your print onto a thin black foamcore and use double sided tape to fix it to the centre of the black rectanglewhat you should be left with is a print sitting flush against the wall, outlined with thick black brush strokes and some of the paint bleeding down the wall behind...
this will look awesome, considering your subject matter matches the edgy disply style.

I did glass. I went to a hardware store and got them to cut glass for me, then used these cheap mounts that hooked on the corners of the glass.
Pro: Looked great, cheap
Con: Glass wasn't beveled, don't rub edges or risk severe slicing and stiches.

^ that sounds nice ismith. i've always liked the 'floating" off the wall effect putting a but if extra foam core a few inches in from each corner creates this effect too.

Get a couple thin/hollow boards of balsa or basswood and then affix them to the wall (either with screws from underneath or a strong adhesive) and then rest your dry-mounted prints on them. I would love to do this some time, shelved prints just kind of propped up... would have to fit the content though.

yeah your right. that would be the obvious. i hate cutting that damn thing. need to get myself some new exacto blades then.

Dry mount + tac?
- On foam core– it's light and stiff, but you might think the edges aren't pretty. You can spraypaint it black if you need. Cheap.ismith
- It's cheap too. Just throwing it out there, it's what I do and it turns out pretty good for very little $.ismith
- yeah done this before just wondered if there was something else i could do. creative wise i guess.sea_sea

Hi people, I'm having a photo exhibit next weekend and I'm still debating how to hang my work. I can't afford to frame the images, so I'm looking for alternate ways.
I have a few 11x14 prints and some are 12x18.
No boarders so gallery pins are out of the question and yes I will be doing this myself.Anyone out there with ideas? links to samples very appreciated. thnx! :)
