old Nikon prime (non-zoom) manual focus lenses on Canon bodies can be quite nice.... for video shooting, the focus is smoother than the AF plastic rings... you can feel-focus and feel how it gets stiffer close to the end.... no slight focal length change when you focus. Canon lenses also stop down in visible chunks if you want to change aperture while shooting video, old MF nikon lenses can be made to stop down more smoothly if you hold the ring tight while turning it....

also, the aperture is stuck on f2 and the image is quite dark, but im guessing this is normal...

can you set the aperture using a nikon body, then take the lens off and stick it on the canon? cumbersome i guess... or is it always stuck wide open no matter what?
