  I'm looking for some more modern looking serif typefaces for a project I'm working on. I'm finding that anything in the style of Hoefler Text has too much of a classic feel and slab's are a bit too clunky.

  Any suggestions?

  I second Glosa or Fedra. Also:
  Farnham from FontBureau (also sold through FontShop)
  Newzald by Klim
  Mercury by H&FJ
  TheAntiqua from FontShop
  Meta Serif from Fontshop

  • Fedra Serif B, that is.– gramme1/4

    I don't really like Serif A for anything besides captions/footnotes.– gramme2/4
