meet milo, my roommates’ annoying dog that loves to bark at any noise in the hallway. I’m a freelance designer working from home, so I get to listen to this all day — so I thought, why not share?
basically I rigged up a mic in the ceiling / loft area of our apartment, and ran it through some software that uploads his “bark activity” to his website — and then forward it to twitter through their API

I was thinking about getting a webcam and upload a twitpic with each bark, just so we could see what he’s barking at when we’re not home.
just thought I would share. looking for comments, and/or any feedback out there, along with any ideas on how to expand on this.

love it. I did it for a year out of college, went to SM for a year, and now back at it. previously I was nowhere near a large city (upper peninsula of michigan), but not I find it's much easier to get work — mostly word of mouth so far.

Yeah, we're installing a wireless webcam w/ mic next weekend. Going to try to twitpic a photo of the door + milo (he usually bolts to the door when he's barking) with every tweet.
Eventually, we want my roommate (the dog owner) to be able to reply to the tweet, and have a screen reader on the desktop read it over speakers so milo can hear it.
