ok - i have my stereo plugged in to my a.exp - and a.exp plugged into the power - not plugged in to the modem.
i can't see the airport express in itunes, but apparently i am meant to be able to. i need all the ports on my modem so im hoping i dont have to plug the a.exp direct into the modem.
am i tripping or what?

mine used to work then sort of randomly stopped, have you made sure all your airport software is up to date? I think I tried that as well, but to no avail...

mine was a twat to setup and would only work if I configured while connected via ethernet, all was fine after that
- experienced this too, but stopped working after a couple of weeksSamush

as in plu AE into router via ethernet, setup wizard, bish bash bosh
yes, I write instruction manuals for a living
- plu=plugraskolnikov
- plu does have a nicer ring to it, much more romantic, less harsh and germanic...neue75_bold
- cause giesser doesn't sound germanic at all, right?Amicus
- what's that got to do with the price of fish?neue75_bold

How did you do it Forcetwelve?
- forcetwelve0
you need to set it up to join your existing wireless network, then you unplug it and it works. boom!

i just reset the whole lot, I am having trouble though getting all three airport express's to relay the internet connection all the way downstairs from only two floors up! Trying to sort out a WDS setup is a bitch!

Mine was working on and off, so after a year of research, it turned out that when you join your existing network, make sure that your router uses a WEP password and not a WPA password.
Now its working flawlessly since.

I have 2 ApEx and one Time Capsule, they work better in network extending mode than WDS – your mileage may vary though :)
You have to check the airwaves for your neighbours' networks – which channels are they on? Are they colliding with yours?
Also, wifi n 2.4Ghz is more reliable and has a wider range than n 5GHz.

In some cases, the latest firmware is fucking up your Apple wireless devices' setup. One of my Airport Express routers only works well with 7.3.2, gets jumpy with 7.4.1. or 7.4.2 :)
