Close your eyes for an instant and pretend I want to make my light blue ruler guides into a printable layer. Is there a magical button for this besides print screen?

Is it normal that CS4 won't draw lines perfectly aligned to it's guides??

you're using pixels so it has to align to the pixels before it aligns to the grid

Set a 1x1 pixel grid, show grid, snap to grid, guidelines snap to grid

I have to work in inches. I was really talking about the guides. I'm using the grid now, on top of the guidelines, changing the subdivisions as need be in preferences. It seems to work better. Sorry, I'm such a noob! Thanks everyone.

Inches or pixels, its still a bitmap image so the pixel is king. Snapping to a 1x1 pixel grid will keep your lines sharp unless you use the line vector shape tool which will split a 1 pixel line along a pixel line which makes a 2px antialiased line.

    • I switched over to doing what you said. Thank you so much!Redmond

if you're designing for web and you can fit in at 100%, just print screen. done!
