Personally I think the red header is obnoxious and distracting. I'm sure there are some cool things once you dig deeper. Any thoughts?

It seems every section after home is the same as it was...
http://www.cnn.com/US/I like the old design much better.

i am pretty sure the official launch for the full site is monday, only the frontpage is new right now but everything gets streamlined then.
that being said, meh i guess. i guess i care more about real news websites. i am sure they've got ten templates for what happens if a celebrity dies.

not a big fan - preferred the old style. THis looks like an e-commerce site with nothing to sell

I like that red CNN header. Yes, its quite strong — but I like it (also reminds me a bit of 80s BBC with the globe and all)

I do not like that. I realize everything evolves, but when major mainstream web sites change so radically overnight, it really irritates me.
It's funny too - the economy is tight; obviously it costs money to redesign a web site. Makes me wonder if they really sit down and discuss whether or not it's necessary?

Looks like PMS 185 is the color for 2010?

Hmmm, you guys say just the front page but the whole site looks different to me.
I think the logo looks really awkward centered like that, and yea, red header is overkill. Not enough time to dig through the whole site, but overall the type and positioning seems sloppier than the last version.
So they butchered their really decent-looking redesign they launched a year or so ago. Reminds me of what I've seen more than a few stakeholders do to sites so not a huge surprise;)

Ya not really feeling the direction that Huge has been going in on their past few sites. http://www.ivillage.com/ ReDesign feels flat and unfinished sort of the same as the CNN redesign. Agree with ukit about the centered logo, feels weird.

Looks like the header is the same color as www.seamlessweb.com
