depends on how good you are I suppose.
- honest0
it depends on a few factors:
1. expected salary
2. how good your portfolio is
3. visa status
4. how hard you're wiling to work
5. English
6. special skills
7. personality
8. appearence

dude - london is smelly, dirty, expensive and full of insane public transport staff.
it's old and people are to oconservative with money.
Places like Shanghai are were it's at and where it's going to be.

how much average for a senior one?
please view my site!

have you tried recruitment agencies?
- honest0
i think for a senior designer you can ask for £32k but will probably get £29k.
The salary isn't an issue, it's the cost of living here and the standard of living that will affect your choice.
My cousin grew up here, spent time in Singapore, HK and finally Japan, came back for £45k job in London with an apartment in Holland Park, but ran back to Japan screaming about how terrible it was.
Be prepared for culture shock!
- wha??? where?
A good sr. is more like £45kflashbender - errrr what?! 29K is for midweight, definitely NOT seniorisakosmo
- My god 32K for a senior designer is crap pay for London, I would want at least 40K basic.pillhead
- That completely depends on what kind of agency you work at.ximeraLabs
- if you're on 32, you're not a snr.raskolnikov
- wha??? where?

I dont think so - been here 19 months and not had a prob finding contracts. Check out sites like trovit etc if yr looking for fulltime, heaps of stuff around from my perspective (?)

It can be terribly easy or terribly hard. Mostly depends on what are your expectations.
In my experience was "a piece of cake", but i've seen friends struggling for long time.
As Leigh says, start poking recruitment agents.- And another thing: Most job nowadays are on online/interactive.Autokern

hit your CAPS LOCK key before you write a new cv or send out any emails...

I found several good jobs, and offered positions over a couple of months, im now freelancing again, and i picked up work within a day or two, really comes down to your experiences, quality of work, and willing to be flexible you are, in the fulltime role i had recently i upped my wage a reasonable amount without any question from the client, so its out there you just have to register with good agent like eCom/digitalgurus etc. Major Players ive found to be pretty shallow in thought and not particularly good.
Goodluck!
- +1 on Major Players. Shite, all mouth and no trousers IMObabaganush

Looks like your stuff's mostly print work- i see fewer and fewer jobs that don't require basic html skills, but It also looks like you've done a lot. Mostly quite creative stuff.. London's very corporate. If you have any more corporate/boring stuff, pop that in your portfolio too.
Unfortuntely, London's also full of elitist little wankers like ol' spraycan there, who think it's cool to hate everything. Your work is brobably better than anything he's ever done, so ignore him

unless you have a masters or a phd you will not be able to get a highly skilled migrant visa, thus you'll need a studio/agency to sponsor you... good luck, but tbh, you probably don't have a chance in hell.. most recruiters will not help you [especially now] if you're not already able to work...
I've been through this...
- but if you have a british or EU passport than none of this matters...neue75_bold
- what about a working holiday visa?mrhinjai
- clearThoughts0
If you are good enough - you'll be extremely busy in London.
You might eventually get a bit fat and slightly depressed and start questioning yourself what the fuck you are doing in this city.
It is also very expensive, so it's very hard to save money.

deer is overated

you can see here if you will qualify for a UK Tier 1 (General) Skilled Migration Visa Assessment
https://assessments.visabureau.c…if you don't then you'll need a sponsor.
A working holiday could work but most recruiters/employers will be hesitant to hire you for longer-term or permanent work.

Print jobs are very much one out one in.
