So the new iMac will supoprt external video input via display mini port. Which means that with proper adapters you can watch tv on it or game consoles.
Question is this. How does that take over your screen and do you think it would be possible to record that input?

screen, it'll allow fullscreen, windowed and not there, just like now.

Here is a quote from Apple.
Mini DisplayPort output port with support for DVI, VGA, and dual-link DVI (adapters sold separately). 27-inch models also support input from external DisplayPort sources (adapters sold separately).- http://www.apple.com…insomnie

All you need to know:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT39…Basically, an iMac in Target Display Mode acts like a monitor. So, no recording is possible without some serious hacking.
Even if recording was technically possible, I doubt Apple would allow it through DisplayPort's DRM control.
