it SUCKED.
it was boring, sloooow as fuck, and there wasn't anything scary about it.
I mean shits going down in your house, and you don't call anyone? Naw, you just keep recording.... yeah ok.
people were walking out of the movie left and right.
I fell asleep for parts of it.
HORRIBLE movie. waste of time and money.

Weird, I saw it last night and people were screaming throughout the entire movie. You just sound like a boring ass deadbeat to me. Losen up the tie champ.
- Nah, it sucked. They never once thought to call police? Come on.CyBrain

I found the last 25 minutes or so of Paranormal Activity incredibly frightening, on an almost primal level – it really gets to that core childhood fear of something at the foot of the bed, or in the closet, or downstairs in an empty house while you sleep. Also, who were they to call? They were consulting psychics and even the psychics didn't know what to do, and I thought them not leaving and the camera recording were all adequately explained, giving the movie more plausibility than most modern horror movies.

it wasn't frightening in the theater at all, but...
once you get home and you're all alone in the dark, the images do stay with you, and it fucks with your head.

screaming? HAHAHAHAH from what?
let me say i hate scary movies.... this was NOT a scary movie.
there was nothing scary about this movie at all.... people were laughing and walking out the whole time, i had to stop myself from passing out from boredom...
trust me watching one of those ghost hunter shows was probably just as scary. lol
dude, shit like that is happening, most normal people call a priest, rabbi or something like that..... or a psychic, or a paranormal investigator....
anything but trying to video tape the whole time.... cmon dude, you can't be that retarded to think someone would keep video taping....
- and there's no such thing as ghosts.CyBrain
- dunno i believe there are.... i mean how do we know? theres so much we don't knowdconstrukt
- there is so much we don't know. But the stuff we do know used to be unknown and that wasnt 'ghosts are real'...mikotondria3

I didn't see it, but there are four different endings if I remember correctly. Some people were discussing it @ what and said seeing a different ending made the movie. Apparently it was different all over the place...

First third was good imo - then it went downhill ... 60's possession reference was completely ridiculous / as was use of flames on board in living room / as was talc scene / as was photo they find / as was police scene. Like ironmonkey said, silly movie.
Could have been much better. The Shining still beats this hands down.

I wasn't initially scared in the theater, but I had a hell of a time sleeping for 3-4 nights after... it stuck with me.

the funny part is ...
you all paid to see it.
so it made money...
mission accomplished

I'll be honest i just had a hard time not thinking about it while going down to my kitchen to make a cup of tea.

Won't see it 'till next weekend. I'm jaded, though. I've seen a bunch of so-called scary movies. I've only been frightened once. The Exorcist. I was awake for a week.
- Exorcist was scary for me till the end and all that other dimension stuff, kind of lost its reality thing at that pointmoldero

so there is the original version which they were doing private viewings for in the begining, and then the re-edited hollywood version which is showing in theatres now. apparently it has a different ending.
i saw a downloaded version of the original and thought it was pretty good. what with the lights turned off n all. then when i watched it a second time and it had no effect what so ever and I almost fell asleep.
exorcist is still fucking scary, no matter how many times i watch.
