No your folio is awful. You're going to have a tough time finding a gig.
- FredMcWoozy0
You have a good style you just need to find the artsy boutiques.
- Nostradamus0
Fred's work is even worse than yours, don't take his advice.
You need a better body of work.
- Nostradamus0
This is Fred's work
- airey0
you could do with a little more work i think (but what do i know). the drawings / sketching is a good idea, swhoing the process etc.
- airey0
damn, is fredmcdouchey a little joke some regular member is playing on us all?

ice sculpting FTW
who else has ice sculpting in their resume?yr stuff is fine, not much there, but I've seen way worse. I'm not a designer though, developer. I just know what design looks like.
time to send out 100 emails to every agency you can figure out how to know of.
Also look up design-related networking type events in NYC. There must be tons.
- Nostradamus0
please ignore everything nadnerb just said.
I don't give a shit if you can juggle your own balls. If I'm hiring a designer, you better be able to DESIGN. Get rid of that ice sculpting wankery right now.
100 emails? What? Shotgun approach is for idiots. Pick a dozen places, max, that you really, and realistically, want to work for.
And don't take advice from a developer, your stuff sucks and you need some better work in there. Get rid of the sketches and drawings. Work in process is only good if your process is interesting / very refined. Your process is neither, therefore I don't give a shite.
- < i'd listen to some of this. some studios would dig the ice sculpting as an interesting skill.airey
- yeah they'd dig it as a story told over cocktails. Not as a selling point when you're about to commit to paying ~35k a year. Take this shit seriously.Nostradamus
- you do make some points ... thanks for the honesty...scumbagflackblag1
