So I'm anxiously awaiting a Nikon D90 and a couple lenses and other stuff in the mail on Wednesday. Looking around for decent protective bags, hoping to find something that doesn't look stupid, or all teched out with nylon multicolor straps and stuff.
Want something like a messenger style bag, don't like backpacks. It would be great if it were large enough to become a regular bag to and from work, or at least to accommodate stuff I have on me normally: sketchbook, wallet, cell phone, ipod and headphones, etc.
Any suggestions? I've found the Crumpler 4 Million Dollar Home and it seems like a great bag, just want to know what others are using.
Thanks for any suggestions.

i went to a old camera shop in my neighborhood and just bought 20 year old bag that is awesome and super cheap. better build quality than anything you can find now.
but my camera (Pentax k-7) is a bit smaller than the d-90....that might cause problems.

for top end budget and really awesome bags- Billingham www.billingham.co.uk
otherwise you can't go far wrong with Lowepro.

That Crumpler is good. I use LowePro Flipside, the only backpack worth considering due to its security features. It opens from the back, so you never have to worry if there is a pickpocket behind you on a street or a train. I have Flipside 200, it fits in a 5D and 3 lenses + some stuff. I bought it alongside Flipside 300 and thought I'd sell the one I'm not using. Well, the 300 is for sale, never used.

I love the lowepro backpack camera bag too... didn't think i would, but it's great to take 2 bodies + 70-200 F2.8 + 2 flashes + other lenses while riding bike in the city without messing up my back....

lowepro if only for their durability, i was rained on for roughly 420 miles with my 5D and assorted lenses on my back as i rode my motorcycle, i got scared but when i opened it after the deluge, every pocket was dry as a bone, didn't even seem to penetrate the zipper, and i was speeding excessively

I have a Crumpler 5 Mil and 7Mil and they have both been great. I'm going to have to go a Brazillion next as the 7s a tad too small.
Only complaint with crumpler is they are a little pricey.
