i want to buy a new notebook. no mac.
most of em got integrated graphics card. does that matter a lot for afx, premiere and stuff?

Yes, that matters a lot! You want your graphics card to be dedicated, if you want to work with something as demanding as after effects. Integrated graphic cards are crap!
If looks are of any importance, some Sony Vaio models are pretty neat (and you get really decent tech support at Sony).
Zepto ( http://www.dennedusa.com/usa/lap… ) also have some really sturdy, simple (mac-esque) laptops.

If you can wait a month or two, you might get a better machine cheap... my IT geek friends tell me the channel is still clearing out of old machines, and in a month or two, Win7 hits, many machines will have a better battery tech and the new price point for most laptops will be substantially lower due to price wars,etc...
I just got an old Thinkpad on Craigslist for $100, that old machine with XP-Pro, separate graphics card and a centrino seems faster than my dead Toshiba with DualCore and Vista....
