Second hard drive failure this year goddamit! So how does your studio back up? DAT? RAID? online?

we save everything to a server which automatically copies everything to an external drive, weekly. These drives are then taken off site, in case of catastrophe.
- Do you retain everything on external drives or do you back these up elsewhere when they're full?polytechnic

backed up my work MBP to a few DVDs last night. Unfortunately, I have to backup my external to a bunch of DVDs and reformat. I bought it a few years ago (that LaCie designed by Porsche) and the main partition it's formatted for Windows, so my MBP can only read, not write (huge oversight on my part, my pc blew up recently, and i'm buying a MBP for home).
At work we save everything to the network servers, and weekly drives are sent offsite. Pisses me off when they load a backup without telling me.
