They trap you into an upgrade scam. If you buy the full premium suites you have to upgrade the whole suite every time you decide to upgrade something.
I just attempted to upgrade Illustrator since that's all I needed. No notification was on the site and it let the purchase go through fine. I had to call in to find out why it wouldn't accept my serial numbers.
I don't pirate software but I'm beginning to understand why some do. Unhealthy business practices by corporations breeds this type of action.

Yup
and then they get all surprised when a few people pirate a home copy to do some evening freelance work! Seriously, screw 'em! Big ad/design agencies should buy the software.. not individuals who're forking outta their own pocket. Well I guess they do take the fact that everyone's got a pirate copy at home into account when they price their products
