Just a heads up, but if you're using a lot of postscript type 1 fonts, DON'T upgrade to Snow Leopard... the leading gets screwy...
Just had to re-layout a presentation, which no doubt I'll end up having to change back if they fix it...

Not the same thing... yet equally annoying

I have heard that the latest suitcase fusion works best with Snow Leopard.
New update for 10.6 is available.

New version available!
A new version (2.0.3) of FontExplorer® X Pro is now available, optimized to work with Mac OS 10.6.x.
We recommend that you download and install this new version.

Still think it is a system level thing whereby type 1 fonts are arsed up... try using Lutz Headline as one example :(

I had problems with Helvetica Neue after upgrading.

It's pretty widespread: http://www.google.com/search?q=t…
They got rid of resource forks for files in snow leopard and apparently they've been using resource forks to store the metrics for Type 1 fonts since early on in the Mac years. No forks = no metrics for T1 fonts = crapped out leading.

• Convert PostScript Type 1 fonts (Macintosh or Windows format) into a single modern OpenType font file that works on both Macintosh & Windows. End the headaches of the outdated two-file system of screen font and printer font combinations. Just one font file that works.

Nice find pascii.

Bought fontxchange. Didn't solve it for me (although it converted them fine, just didn't solve the leading issue).
